Who we are
To safeguard the principles of human rights and the rule of law, SAJE lawyers inform, counsel and defend people seeking asylum. Persons applying for asylum can benefit from legal follow-up and be kept informed about their asylum procedure, including the appeal procedure, their application for family reunification, and the like. F permit holders can obtain support in applying for regularisation (B permit), family reunification, travel authorisation, and so on. Persons who have been issued with a removal order may be defended in order to have their asylum application re-examined, or to obtain emergency assistance or a humanitarian B permit. The SAJE is also at the disposal of interested civil society players in order to study the evolution of asylum law from the standpoint of its practical experience and to provide training.
